Office Branding; what are you on about?
The graphics world, like any, is full of expressions and words that can be very confusing. Terms like face printing, Foamex, Smartstick, print and cut and office branding dominate our vocab, but what do they all mean.
In order to bust some jargon, this blog takes a look at ‘Office Branding’ and what it means.
So tell me, what does it mean?!
Office branding is the interior design process that aligns company vision, values and image with the appearance of the physical working environment.
"it’s the art of shaping an office space into one that reflects your company" - Peter Ames, Office Genie
Okay, but what does that look like?
As I’m sure you know, branding goes far beyond just logos and slogans (although these make fantastic design features), but expresses the very heart of your company’s unique offering, value and knowledge.
As a result, I must stress that any office branding project has to be much greater than a quick decoration fix. In fact when the holistic interior branding is strategically thought through it can actively increase productivity, collaboration, creativity and job satisfaction as well as be responsible for attracting the best talent to your team.
The process includes big decisions such as open plan vs private working and the use of colour as well as a whole host of other choses such as what imagery, artwork and typography to use. You’ll also have to consider the finishing touches, which could include your logo, whiteboard vinyl, world maps and way-finding as well as custom wall murals and window graphics.
How can we help?
In order to create a space that reflects the brand and works to your organisation’s advantage we would recommend that you get our help in order to gain a professional opinion. Our helpful and creative professional services include the following:
Our consultancy service will allow us to analyse your space and make the best recommendations to effectively transfer your brand to your office environment.
2. Mood Boarding
If you are unsure about what you would like in your space but would like to see the sort of thing we could do, this option is for you. After pooling information on your project, we will create a custom mood board that is tailored to your brand to show you the product options and potential styling choices we can do. Please note this will not include custom designs and is only a reflection of the ‘sort of thing’ we can do, which is then used to hone the design process.
3. Concept Creation
Like the option above, if you are unsure of what you would like but want to see bespoke concepts this is the option for you. We will create a document that will contain original design concepts that could be applied to your space as well as inspirational images that could be adapted to suit your office. Please note these will not be finished designs or even made to fit specific surfaces and will need to go through a designer in order to make them fit for purpose.
If you know what you would like, or now know after using another service, this option is for you. This service allows you to work directly with a member of our design team who will craft your design based on a tight specification. It is important that you are clear on what you would like as you are only entitled to a limited amount of revisions before additional charges are applied.
