In summary

OMD is an integrated media agency that aims to deliver insights, ideas and results that positively impact their high profile clients’ communication strategies. OMD contacted us at Vinyl Impression HQ during the process of planning an event at the Mill Bank Tower, which needed to be radically transformed inside and out to match their branding and design style.

In order to advise on the most effective materials and product solutions, we sent out creative director Ed to meet with OMD’s project lead and graphic designer to walk the space to understand their objectives, suggest options and to ensure we delivered an excellent end result for them. OMD had three floors and the exterior of the building to brand, which all needed to be achieved using removable graphic options, ensuring that the space could be left as it was found.

In order to achieve this, we used banner material to wrap the large exterior pillars as well as ‘Smart stick’, a fabric based material, to wrap the interior pillars, a brick wall, the staging, the speaker’s podium and the soundboards in the media centre. In addition to this we supplied a large version of the event’s logo in matt white vinyl, which was attached to the front of a bar that used LEDs to illuminate the graphic, creating a backlit effect.
