Oldercare

Project overview

In summary

Having started the redevelopment and fit out of an old hospital at St Marthas, Oldercare were building a new suite of rooms across 4 wards all with their own theme and colour scheme. The branding project started out as an idea was to brighten the residential rooms with a feature image in over 200 bedrooms. We then worked on designs for an OT room, Canteen, Gym and several other therapy rooms. Lastly we worked on designs for the corridors to brighten the clinical blank walls in the wards.

We started by marking the floorplan with the walls we wanted to add graphics to, then doing an extensive site survey taking photos and measurements of all the surfaces. Our talented design team then sourced all the images for the client proposing a shortlist of options for them to choose from. We decided to choose 4 key images per ward, and repeat these across the 50 + rooms per ward.

We installed the whole project in a tight install window between the building works being finished, and the wards being opened to residents. So we made a plan to follow the fit out team and regular contact with them helped us all stay on track.

The result is a stunning care facility at St Marthas that looks welcoming and personalised to each resident, whilst practically helping patients suffering with Dementia.

We are already working on the next site for Oldercare, so watch this space.
